Nine years, four industries, one habit: find the bottleneck, design past it, measure what changed. Currently leading UX for 5.6M shoppers a year — and building AI tooling without an engineering degree to fall back on.
Four years of Textile Technology is four years of learning how thousands of small, identical decisions add up to a material that either holds together or doesn't. I still think about interfaces that way.
Since then: ML forecasts made legible to merchants, IoT unified across white-label clients, hospital workflows stripped back, and jewellery commerce at a scale where 1% is a real number of people.
Recently I stopped only designing for AI and started building with it — PRD, prototype, then hand engineering something that already runs. That's what I'm optimising my next role for.
